This is a wonderful story told by Bertus Roesink, the son of one of Netherlands greatest clog-makers.
Ten years ago he was discovered by the Dutch Tourist Board and they sent him round the world with K.L.M., the Royal Dutch Airlines to promote the Netherlands.
His love for the clog and for the Netherlands has taken him to Australia, Kuwait, Stuttgart, Antwerp, New Delhi and many other places.

He has worked alongside various Minister- Presidents, Kings and Imperial houses.
During hard times he didn't wait for the end, but got busy and found a way to survive in the times of recession.

Because of his endless dedication, many people abroad have been able to enjoy his work as a clog-maker.

The book tells of many wonderful things, but also tells of the less fortunate in the world.
It is the story of someone who does not let himself be overwhelmed when things go wrong at work or in sport, and who indeed finds the strength to keep on believing that better times are ahead.
